Pedigree of William TAYLOR-1


Dear John, 
    Attached is a further attempt to pull the Taylor's together. This time
it is The Pedigree of William Taylor and is based on Ince's Pedigree Page 074a.
As you will see, I have looked at the PR's and the Census records to pull this
together. Of course my assumptions may not be accurate, but it could be a
starting point for someone in the future. 
I hope it is of some use on your website.

              Pedigree of the family of Mr William Taylor of Wirksworth,
grocer, who was originally of Carsington afterwards of Kirk Ireton both
in County Derby.
              Drawn from an abstract of title to the estate purchased by
William Taylor1675 from notes taken in Wirksworth church yard & Kirk Ireton
church yard and other sources by Thomas Norris INCE Wirksworth Dec 1822.

011           John TAYLOR  born circa 1661.  Of Kirk Ireton. Second son.
              Purchased land from his father 1686. Made his Will
              20 Jan 1732. Died 31 Jan 1733 age 72. Buried Kirk Ireton.

0111          Richard TAYLOR of Kirk Ireton. Born circa 1696 Cooper and
              Pack Saddle Maker. Devisee and Executor to his father.
              Married Elizabeth ??? (an Annuitant of her husbands Will)
              Made his Will 28 Aug 1758. Died 20 Oct 1762 age 66. Buried
              at Kirk Ireton (copied from gravestone in Kirk Ireton church
              yard 15 Aug 1828 by TN Ince)

              0111 Children of Richard Taylor and Elizabeth
01111         John TAYLOR  of Kirk Ireton. Eldest son and devisee and sole
              executor to his father. Married Anne ???.  Made his Will
              7 April 1776 leaving his property to his nephew James Taylor
              (who was an illegitimate child of his sister Ann Toplis
              before her marriage)

01112         Isaac TAYLOR . born circa 1738.  Grocer in Wirksworth
              5 Apr 1766. Died 18 Sept 1787 age 49 years. Married
              Anne SMITH who died 31 Jan 1795 age 69 years. 20 Aug 1773
              conveys Mary Wall's lands at Kirk Ireton 9 acres 1 rood &
              19 perches to Messrs Freeth and Pool of Nottingham grocers.

01113         Anne TAYLOR only daughter.  Married William TOPLIS of Kirk
              Ireton. (releases his wife's legacy of £20 to John junr
              Richard William)

011121        Richard TAYLOR only son and heir born circa 1752 Died
              3 Oct 1787 age 35 years.
              Married Kitty HARRISON.  Born circa 1752. Made her Will
              3 Dec 1822 died 17 Jan 1825 buried Wirksworth 20 Jan 1825
              age 73.

011131        James TAYLOR Illegitimate son . Devisee in the Will of his
              Uncle John TAYLOR of Kirk Ireton, later Wirksworth and
              (in 1829) Derby .A joiner. Married Elizabeth ANDREW
              12 Sept 1785 at Wirksworth . witnesses :- Henry FORD,
              Benjamin ANDREW Daughter and heiress of Theobold ANDREW
              of Bole Hill Wirksworth miner.

              of Delves near Shirland County Derby
011133        John TOPLIS of Cromford Cotton Spinner where he went 1788 &
              now (1825) resides. Married Sarah HALLAM  13 Sep1790.
              Witnesses: George Cottrill, George Salt .Had 17 children.
