out, them old editions of Look and Learn and practice to learn to remember.
This is not like going to the shops and then forgetting the moment you walk
through the door. This is serious stuff, the eleven plus in nothing compared
to what is about to befall you. Went to Sudbury Hall yesterday to the

Ashbourne 1850-2 |
 |
Hi list,
a few days ago I made mention of 81 year old Billy Thompson being
savaged by a pig. Did he get any sympathy, not a jot, not so much as a poor
old Bill, instead I mention a word and the whole world has gone chuntering
mad ! Billy Thompson must be chuntering in his grave !
Here's a few more cases that must have made 'em chunter.
Mr Williams pig jobber be allowed the swill .... at 2/6 a quarter.
Ashbourne paupers to collect coffins from contractor instead of having them
delivered !
Thomas Wood of Kniveton absconded from the Workhouse .......with the
Workhouse clothes. Lots of chuntering there !
Thomas Wood apprehended, James Corbishley paid 2-4-6d, no chuntering from
James.
Thomas Wood denies he consented to have 2/- deducted from his wages to pay
for the expenses of prosecuting him for taking Workhouse clothing. More
chuntering from Tom.
Only ten more days to get brain in gear. Questions based on Boys book of
Knowledge 1733 Edition. I expect no paffes.
