"PEDIGREES" |
by Thomas Norris INCE 1799-1860 |
Here is a transcription of the 484 pages of this Manuscript Book,
made from a microfilm copy supplied by Derby Local Studies Library.
In most cases abbreviations have been expanded without
comment to avoid confusion.
A new page numbering system is used based on the microfilm frame order.
Ince's original page numbers and the DLSL photocopy reference are given
in red brackets.
The original pages are held at DLSL, are separated,
and unfortunately do not possess a coherent numbering system.
These pages were transcribed by John Palmer, Kathryn Farrell
and Sonia Addis-Smith
between Oct 1999 and Feb 2000.
Proof-read by Sonia and John,
edited and compiled by John.

Copy letter of Mr Rickards INCE attorney Wirksworth to Mr KILMINSTER
attorney Leek March 1805. Sir, I have made every possible enquiry about
the legal representative of (x) Edward BUXTON, but without success. I find
from some old persons here that Edward BUXTON did reside at Wirksworth
many years ago & kept a shop & had 2 sons Benjamin & George. The latter was
a Dissenting Minister & the other a linen draper & lived at Chesterfield,
but whether they have left Chesterfield & left children I cannot learn!!
(x)Query should it not have been William BUXTON. No see top next page -
but query if the 2 ch? of BUXTONs are not confounded. The letter smacks
of both T N Ince
